Glory’s Garden Foundation is hosting the Glory 5K Walk/Run to rally Northeast Louisiana around families fighting through the NICU journey. In 2023 Glory Ann Strickland was born at 24 weeks and spent 308 days in the St. Francis and Childrens Hospital NICU. Her parents, family and friends understand no parent should face that lonely road alone.
This event is more than a race; it’s a public show of love that raises critical support for medical expenses, travel, meals, and at home living expenses for NICU families. Our goal is to reach 1000 registrations so we could help over 200 families. When our community shows up together, we don’t just raise funds we raise hope, dignity, and relief in the moments families need it most.
Why Partner With Glory’s Garden Foundation
This is more than a race, it’s a gathering of hope. The Glory 5K directly supports NICU families with meals during long hospital stays, gas and travel assistance, lodging for out-of-town care, emergency bill relief, and encouragement for families navigating both crisis and recovery. As the only 5K in Northeast Louisiana dedicated specifically to these families, this event creates a powerful opportunity for your company to stand visibly with parents in their hardest moments while helping us build a lasting annual impact in our community.
Immediate Relief
When a baby is in intensive care, life pauses but bills do not. This pillar provides meals, groceries, gas cards, and emergency financial assistance so parents can stay present at the bedside without choosing between work and their child.
Stability & Shelter
Many families travel for specialized care. This pillar supports hotel lodging, transportation, and essential needs so families can remain close to their baby without the added burden of displacement.
Emotional & Spiritual Car
The NICU journey is not only physical it is emotional and spiritual. This pillar offers encouragement resources, prayer support, and grief care for families walking through uncertainty, recovery, or loss.
Community Continuity
Support doesn’t end at discharge. This pillar assists families transitioning home, helping bridge the gap between hospital care and normal life through follow-up support, practical aid, and connection to long-term resources.
